Announcement of the new National Director in Ghana

33

This is to announce the selection of John Komla Ansah, as the National Director of the Navigators Ghana. We give thanks to God for the way He used the Transition and Selection Councils in the process which was bathed in prayer. It was very clear that God took control of the process and all glory goes to Him. We trust that God has called John Komla Ansah into the National Director role for Ghana.

John Komla Ansah (called John K), was born at Lapaz in Accra, Ghana. He is the 4th born among his mother’s 11 kids.

John K says he sought the Lord more seriously after the mysterious death of his mother while he was a second-year student in high school. After many months of mourning and seeking, he joined a Scripture Union meeting one Wednesday and silently told God, “This is enough! Today, I cannot fight the battle cid:image002.jpg@01D4F5DF.7712F430on my own. Please take over.’’ Since then he has been committed to God and His will.

He joined the Navigators after high school when he was invited by one of his seniors to a community Bible study. After only a few meetings he told himself, “This is exactly what I have been looking for,” and has since been part of The Navigators.

He became the Administrator of the Ghana Navigators after National Service and spent 5 years in that role. In February 2009, he moved to Kumasi as Field Staff. He currently leads the Team in the Ashanti Region Area ministry of the Navigators.

John K has a passion for youth, leadership and the needs of the poor and vulnerable.

Pray for John Komla Ansah that:

  1. He will be close to God as he leads the ministry in Ghana: Jeremiah 30:21 “Their leaders will be one of their own, their ruler will arise from among them. I will bring him near and he will come close to me, for who is he who will devote himself to be close to me?” declares the Lord.
  2. God will use him to continue growing the ministry in Ghana. Isaiah 61:9 “Their descendants will be known among the nations and their offspring among peoples. All who see them will acknowledge that they are a people the Lord has blessed.”

Blessings in Jesus, the Christ

Edward
