HIS VESSELS OF PRAYER

‘It seems God is limited by our prayer life: He can do nothing unless someone asks Him – John Wesley. Founder, Methodist Church

This year started with six days of prayer and fasting by the Kumasi Navigators team, which were marked by the exciting experience of hearing God speak! During a prayer night with some key disciples, we considered the truth of this statement by Wesley. Our conclusion, backed by scripture, was that God is looking for people (vessels, temples, Houses of prayer) who will speak His Word and His Will in prayer so that He can act through them.

When we pray ‘Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven’, we become channels for God to speak His will through. This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, He hears us. 1 John 5: 14. Let us all make every effort to pray constantly, and be vessels through which God intervenes in the affairs of mankind.
